Haddington Folk Club celebrates its 25th Birthday this year with a re-union at the above venue, which promises to be a a great day in this year's folk calendar.

The party is by invitation to anyone who has had a connection with the club during its existence.   All current members will, of course, be sent an invite automatically but if you wish to ensure you get your invitation by dint of an earlier connection please contact our treasurer Gordon Pearson by e-mailpearsong@btinternet.com or telephone him at 01620 822925 and he'll be delighted to add you to our list.  As well as our own past and present members we will be inviting representatives from other clubs to join in our celebration.
If you'd like to send news to Gordon of where you are now and if your still playing, singing or listening to traditional music let him know and we'll try to include it on our 'memory lane' exhibition on the day of the re-union. Any fond memories or anecdotes you'd like to share will be of interest to other members/friends at the party.
Subject to a bit of tweaking, this is what the club committee has planned for the day:-
3pm - 5pm
Exhibition of photos, club trophies, e-mails from long lost past members and a general chat.  During this time you may be approached by a smiling person who will ask you if you are prepared to sing for your supper at some stage.
5pm
Sessions will start by this time so you have plenty of time to tune your pipes between now and then if they've fallen into disuse. We'll definitely get these sessions going earlier if we can and the one in the downstairs lounge in the Railway will be open to the public.
6pm
Buffet - yes nosh provided by the club!
7pm
THE CONCERT - this will be good.
The guests appearing have all had a connection with the club which may be old, recent or current and another thing they have in common is that they are excellent.
They are:-
GILL BOWMAN
CURMUDGEON
LUCKENBOOTH

The main guests will be supported by our floor singers -old and new and our comperes for the night will ensure that the concert rattles along at a good pace.
11pm - 1am
There should be enough steam left to carry on until the smallest of the hours and I could probably give you a list of the 'usual suspects', which would prove accurate on the night.
It'll be a great day - contact Gordon, we'd like you to be part of it.
